BritArt - Young British Artists or YBAs[1] (also referred to as Brit artists andBritart) is the name given to a loose group of visual artists who first began to exhibit together in London, in 1988. The 'BritArt' (GCE) course offers students that have previously studied a GCSE in the Visual Arts opportunity to further develop skills, knowledge and understanding within one of the following disciplines:

  • Fine Art
  • Digital Photography 
  • Creative Textiles
  • Digital Illustration

The GCE course is made up of four key Units of work:
  1. Unit 1: Coursework
  2. Unit 2: Externally set exam
  3. Unit 3: Personal Investigation (Coursework)
  4. Unit 4: Externally set exam
